Dining
The hotel offers two on-site dining options: The Florence Arms Gastro Pub & Restaurant and the Garden for indoor and outdoor dining. The Garden features a secluded outdoor dining area with a woodfire grill, serving exclusive menus that use locally sourced ingredients. During winter (May-October closure) the restaurant is closed, but the gastropub across the road remains available for meals.
Rooms
All bedrooms and bathrooms are individually designed with stylish furnishings, each including an LCD TV and vegan-friendly toiletries. Room types range from Standard Double to Executive King, Family Room, and Superior Superking, with some offering baths or showers. The hotel is housed within a lovingly restored Edwardian house that has retained many original features, and no lift is available due to the building's age.
Location
Situated just minutes from Southsea seafront and the centre of Portsmouth, the hotel provides easy access to Southsea Beach and the common. The historic Mary Rose, HMS Victory, and HMS Warrior warships are less than a 10-minute drive away, along with the Blue Reef Aquarium. Gunwharf Quays Shopping Centre and Portsmouth Harbour Railway Station are also within a 10-minute drive.
